E4 Geriatric Medicine (40 beds)

• Over 65 years of age, patients who would benefit from active rehabilitation
• Currently 30 beds dedicated to Geriatric Medicine and 10 beds dedicated to Stroke Rehabilitation
• Diagnostic groups include but not limited to:  heart failure, lung disease, dementia, frail and falling, skin and wound issues, diabetes, vascular, amputations, etc

Day Hospital

• Patients seen from the community; these patients are referred by hospital, family, community nurses and family physicians. These are frail elderly, living at home with a variety of diseases seen by a multi discipline team.
