QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.N. required
- CRNM registration required
- Minimum two (2) years recent acute medicine nursing experience required
- Experience in educational program planning an asset
- Demonstrated teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated clinical expertise
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to adapt readily to changing demands and situations
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability in communicating with and teaching adults
NOTE: Successful completion of the BLS Instructor Certificate will be obtained at a time scheduled by the employer or at a time mutually agreed upon between the nurse and the employer required

UTILIZATION FACILITATOR

UTILIZATION MANAGEMENT
POSITION NUMBER: 0482
POSITION: PART TIME (0.6) TERM
TERM DATES: ASAP - INDEFINITE
SHIFT LENGTH: 7 3/4
ROTATION: DAY
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current CRNM registration required
- Bachelors Degree in nursing required and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Education preparation in patient admissions, transfer and discharge an asset
- Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of spreadsheet, word processing and e-mail software applications required
- Minimum four (4)years recent related nursing experience in Acute Medicine and/or Geriatric Medicine required
- Demonstrated ability to function in a pivotal role, as facilitator in the patient admission/discharge/transfer process between patients, families, physicians, managers, members of the multidisciplinary team, other programs, community resources, etc., required
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain effective resource contacts required
- Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of staff (direct care, multidisciplinary teams, management, etc) required
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and problem solve required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
