Pre-operative Instructions:

1. Arrange for transportation home after your surgery. You are not permitted to drive a motor vehicle for 24 hours after your surgery. You must be released in the company of a responsible adult.
   
   
2. Do not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your surgery.
   
   
3. You may take medications as ordered by your surgeon or the Anesthesiologist on the morning of your surgery with a sip of water.
   
   
4. Do not bring any valuables or jewelry with you.
   
   
5. 2 hours prior to your surgery time, arrive at the hospital. Report to the Admitting Department on the first floor. Bring your Manitoba Health Card and other medical insurance cards with you.
